  • Is Prescience insurance, or something else?
    Prescience is a modern health plan administered for self-insured employers. Your employer funds the plan; Prescience designs it, runs the app, contracts directly with the doctors and hospitals in your network, and handles claims.
  • What if my current doctor isn't in network?
    Search for them in the app the first time you open it. The Prescience network combines directly-contracted providers with a curated Tier 1, and most members find their existing primary-care doctor on day one. If we don't have your doctor, you can request they join, and we'll reach out directly.
  • How does the dynamic HSA actually work?
    Traditional plans pre-fund a flat amount into your HSA whether you use it or not. Prescience allocates contributions based on your real deductible usage throughout the year (up to about $1,000), and the balance rolls forward. You can spend it on eligible health expenses or items in the Prescience Marketplace (WHOOP, Eight Sleep, Function, Oura, and more).
  • How do I get my ID card?
    Your insurance card lives in the Prescience app from the morning your coverage starts. No waiting for the mail. You can show it at any provider, add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, or pull up a PDF if a clinic needs one.
  • What happens in an emergency or when I travel?
    Emergencies are always covered. Go to the nearest emergency room and call us when you can. While traveling in the US, the Tier 1 network covers you in every state. International travel is covered for emergencies; tap the in-app SOS button and a Prescience MD will coordinate care.
  • How do I reach a real human?
    In the app, tap Get Help for a Prescience MD or care navigator. By phone, the number is on the back of your in-app card. Average answer time is under a minute, 8am–8pm in your local time zone, with on-call MDs available 24/7 for medical questions.
